SUMMARY:VirtualZ at IBM Z Customer Council Demo Showcase – Boston 2026
DESCRIPTION:This Boston IBM Z Customer Council event introduces the Northeast IBM Z Council’s first Demo Showcase: an open-plan, walk-at-your-own-pace experience where IBM Z customers can explore live demos and technical conversations with IBMers, ISVs, and Business Partners. The event features IBM, 21CS, Pellera, VirtualZ Computing, and other IBM Z ecosystem partners, with VirtualZ exhibiting PropelZ during the Demo Showcase.\nAbout the Event\nOn July 22, 2026, VirtualZ Computing will exhibit PropelZ at the IBM Z Customer Council Demo Showcase in Boston, Massachusetts. The afternoon event is hosted at the 21CS Boston Office on Long Wharf and co-sponsored by IBM, 21CS, Pellera, and VirtualZ Computing.\nThe Demo Showcase is an open-plan, walk-at-your-own-pace experience where IBM Z customers can visit multiple stations for demos and technical conversations led by IBMers, ISVs, and Business Partners. The full event runs from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM EDT, with the Demo Showcase running from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM EDT.\nVisit the VirtualZ PropelZ Demo Station\nStop by the VirtualZ station to see a demo of PropelZ — no-code data movement between mainframe and non-mainframe systems, with any input, any output, in any direction.\nPropelZ reads and writes VSAM, DB2, tape, sequential data, S3, Azure, GCP, NFS, SMB, and SFTP — with no application changes, no custom code, and no production disruption. PropelZ is proven at 56,000 records per second, mainframe to cloud.\nVirtualZ Computing offers four no-code products for IBM Z modernization:\n\nPropelZ — Move it. No-code data movement between mainframe and non-mainframe systems — any input, any output, in any direction. Read and write VSAM, DB2, tape, sequential data, S3, Azure, GCP, NFS, SMB, and SFTP. Proven at 56,000 records per second, mainframe to cloud.\nFlowZ — Store it in the cloud. z/OS writes directly to Amazon S3, Azure Blob, or Google Cloud Storage as if it were a local device. Durable, low-cost, off-site storage for backup, archive, and tape replacement — no software in the cloud, no custom code.\nLozen — Access it live in place. Real-time, read-write access to mainframe data with no moving and no copying. Use live VSAM, QSAM, and DB2 data directly from AI models, analytics platforms, BI tools, and hybrid-cloud apps, while z/OS stays the single source of truth.\nZaac — Run it as native storage. Cloud and SAN appear as standard z/OS volumes and tape devices, so every application runs unchanged.\n\nVirtualZ technology is proven in production across industries, in partnership with system integrators, outsourcers, and hyperscale cloud providers including IBM, AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake, Ocient, Accenture, Kyndryl, Wipro, and Infosys.\nFeatured Demo Showcase Stations\nThe Boston Demo Showcase features seven demo stations:\n\nIBM z17 — IBM’s latest enterprise mainframe platform\nJCL Expert — JCL development and management tooling\nPropelZ — VirtualZ Computing’s no-code data movement for IBM Z\nIBM watsonx Assistant for Z — AI assistant for IBM Z operations\nIBM Bob Premium Package for Z — AI-assisted COBOL and application modernization\nIZBR — backup and recovery for IBM Z\nChange Tracker — IBM Z change management\n\nFull Agenda\n\n2:30 PM EDT — Arrival\n2:45 PM EDT — Opening Remarks\n3:00 PM EDT — Demo Showcase\n5:00 PM EDT — Event Concludes\n5:15 PM EDT — Happy Hour at Chart House\n7:00 PM EDT — Departure\n\nAbout VirtualZ Computing\nVirtualZ Computing is a no-code data integration company with deep mainframe expertise at its core. VirtualZ makes mainframe data and the cloud work as one — letting enterprises move data anywhere, access it live in place, store it in the cloud, or run cloud and SAN as native mainframe storage, with no code and no homegrown pipelines. The VirtualZ portfolio includes PropelZ, FlowZ, Lozen, and Zaac.\nGetting There\nThe 21CS Boston Office is on Boston’s waterfront at Long Wharf, steps from public transit and parking, and walkable from downtown hotels and offices.\nRegistration\nThe IBM Z Customer Council Demo Showcase in Boston is free to attend for qualified IBM Z customers and partners.\nRegister at ibm.biz/BOSJuly22 →\n
